Beginning in July 2024 and continuing through January 2025, the Palestinian Counseling Center (PCC) has remained steadfast in its commitment to supporting the mental and social well-being of Palestinian communities amidst the ongoing challenges of political unrest and military aggression. Working across northern West Bank areas, including Jenin, Tulkarm, Hebron, and Nablus, PCC has focused on empowering women, supporting youth, providing psychological aid, and addressing individual and community trauma.
In collaboration with Alianza-AA Spain (APS), PCC has targeted interventions in vulnerable areas most affected by settler violence and military raids. Locations such as the Jenin refugee camp, Susya, Masafer Yatta in Hebron, and Tulkarm refugee camp, where Palestinians face daily harassment, destruction, and psychological hardship, have been a focal point for PCC’s efforts to provide support and restore hope in the face of immense challenges.
In Jenin, 135 beneficiaries were reached through empowerment groups, open days, therapeutic services, and consultations. Nablus recorded 77 beneficiaries, including women in empowerment groups and therapy sessions.
Hebron saw 146 participants benefiting from empowerment groups, open days, consultations, and youth workshops.
In Tulkarm, 99 individuals took part in consultations and open days, while Huwara engaged 103 participants through youth workshops and open days.
Additionally, 2,000 beneficiaries across all areas received critical Psychological First Aid (PFA), and eight women received tailored case management support.
